a little farewell note, bon voyage and i long to see you soon again
this place already seems a bit different now that you left. we are gypsies after all, restless gypsies, i so understand your need to travel, to search, to grow. imagine we know each other for 6 years now, and in those 6 years we have travelled more than 10 countries together, spent an uncountable amount of nights in different hotel rooms, lost our orientation in foreign cities, and found the most amazing, magical corners while being lost, enjoyed plenty of delicious home cooked dinners, and ridiculous amounts of sweets, me with the additional wine and you with your glass of water and a smoke, talked talked and talked, into late night hours when i am almost falling asleep~midsentence, smoking too much, giggled, laughed and cried and we have danced, oh yes we have danced, and we will keep on dancing one way or the other right?
now your teddy bears have been washed and packed in your suitcase, and you are somewhere above the clouds, heading for your new destination. land softly as we say and i think and feel that i will meet you there.

postcards from the beach
not used to small cameras anymore. i feel somewhat funny with the little canon ixus (as seen on the header) after a few years of mainly using my somewhat heavy baby SLR. but who wants sand in the camera house?
spent some wonderful hot days on the beach. the sea has a calming yet very intense effect, stirs up lots of energy and emotions. i am counting down the busy days until i go to sweden. enjoy your weekend folks!

goodmorning
woke up at 5.45, feeling rested despite of restless dreams, followed by restless meditation. sunburned shoulders and stiff muscles from digging up the garden and plucking figs. working on my ‘to-do’ list while trying to get out of the ‘to-do’ mode. baking, dreaming, reading, listening, planting. being in nature and watching its miracles makes me somehow understand people who turn religious. magic at its best.
wish you a great, fruitful day.

push the action button
~a black eyed pea that spontaneously started growing next to the front door, the one which is never locked~ the edge of a butternut squash~Mr.Avocado in revival, do you remember him? Look here&here~ peel of prickly pears which require a special mission to pluck (avoiding their tiny, tiny thorns)
right understanding, right thoughts, right speech, right action, right livelihood, right effort, right mindfulness, right concentration. i am reading buddhist teachings, trying and practicing to incorporate in action and to leave a lot of the theorizing behind for now.
p.s: listen to this, a record player translating the the rings in a piece of wood into music, wow!

donkey dream
my neighbors packed their bags and loaded three donkeys, collected their three children and some friends and went for a walking vacation. maybe i will reconsider my dream of a camper and get a donkey instead? at least i won’t need a drivers license.
oh, and yesterday i realized that i do not own a key to my front door. my house is always open. quite a liberating thought.
p.s ..and my laptop wasn’t stolen here
HAPPY WEEKEND!

there are plenty of walking meringues around here. i doubt i will ever get married, and observing it from the outside it rarely inspires me, but one thing life has taught me so far is to never say never.
oh, adding to the list of great docus for those of you who haven’t seen them: man on wire & baraka

oh yes do that dance thing
fooling around in the studio on a humid and tired day.
have you guys seen the documentary ‘the grizzly man’? extremely fascinating!
here a few other good documentaries from the past years: born into brothels, waste land & no impact man. do you have some interesting documentaries to recommend me?
