idag skulle vi dricka champagne och äta macaroons hela dagen! grattis finaste du.
I will be back with a summary of this year, one way or the other. man, time flies!
I had snowflakes melting on my lens when I went to visit my friends. lucky to have a wood heater when there’s no electricity, this way I could simply enjoy the darkness, light a bunch of candles and stay close to the fire.
despite all the coziness, it makes me think about peak oil and other potential developments…
I asked for winter, and this is what I got.
someone said it had not snowed this much in israel since the 1860’s. our village was without electricity for about 3 days. the situation was a funky mixture between a national holiday and a catastrophe. no public transport, many broken roofs and trees.
returning from my igloo, getting connected again…how are you?
spending a lot of time with this child made me forced to be present, no slipping and sliding away. watching him makes me curious about how we were when we were small, if it explains our behavior today or if it would seem completely random, that we became what we are.
perhaps these days I can call myself a small scale baker. the dream is becoming reality. I have sent my first bakers bill this month.
the kitchen and veranda is full of buckets with rising sourdough, and I find myself spiraling cinnamon and chocolate buns at the weirdest hours. this is a nice song for the early wake up tea, before staring a fresh loaf.
