the woman

the woman 1the woman 3the woman 2the woman 4the woman 6the woman 5

long time ago…sometime in may, before my computer was stolen, i met this woman. i had my eyes on her for a couple of weeks, coming and going to this park close to a main road in the center of tel aviv, putting up her camp side under the shade of a tree. each time i saw her i was tempted to talk to her, but usually too shy, but finally one day i did, and i asked if i can take her photo. it was a nice session…she spoke a lot.

since then i never saw her again, and the park feels somewhat deserted.

She looks a bit out of place? ( or maybe so I think...)
The photographs are so good!
I really wonder what you talked about...

how interesting. i wonder at what she spoke about, what she felt she had to let out.

Great portraits, very spontaneous ! Its very intriguing, a woman with a lollipop in one hand , a pen in another...like a child woman... The woman looks like a gypsy, a wanderer...a homeless woman...I have seen woman in similar conditions in my city but did not get an opportunity to speak with them. I feel sad for them, wish they had a shelter of their own, protected from bad weather and bad people...
{ Thank you for your feedback in my post, I am a bit busy lately for the festive season, so I did not get time to comment back -anyway, about the food recipes , its ok, anytime you are free you can send me via email or send me links of some good food blogs :)) }
have a lovely day !

Wow, what an incredible woman - the first photo ist amazing - and what a incredible story about her. You're so brave that you talked to her! The question remains, what happened that she didn't come again? Life is full of wonders and untold stories.
Have a nice day, dear vikinglady

I do hope she's okay but how special that you got those few moments with her before she moved on. I adore her...and I love her bag that says 'enjoy yourself.' I think that about says it all.....it looks like she is.

Dear Sara,
fantastic pictures! I'm in love with your portraits... and this woman... wow. You show a wise woman, a crazy genie, a holy lady... Maybe the confrontation with your inner truth?
She disappered after your meeting...

Love
Ariane.

What a life of adventure...living alone outside, travelling or stopping when she want...I 'm curious about the subjects you discussed together...

yaelian, visst är det, lite speciellt? såg henne flera gånger, fast nära sderot jerusalem.veckor i rad, men sen bara försvann hon. undrar ofta vad som hände. tack! kram

demie, thank you, we talked about many things but it was a somewhat messy conversation...i guess she is a bit out, and perhaps aren't we all some way or the other? :)

monica, she for sure had the urge to let things out! i was mainly silent...

sanghamitra,i guess she is a gypsy, a wandering woman. i would have liked to ask her more. and to have understood more. now i do not know where to find her. so many human destinies around us. quite amazing.

annika, ja, det känns alltid som ett litet, viktigt steg att våga någonting man har gått och tänkt på och velat länge...kram

barbara, indeed, untold stories, perhaps one day i will see her again if i am lucky? i will for sure keep my eyes open. and if i do, i will try to arrange that i can give her a print of her portrait. xx.

julia, i feel very grateful for having you guys to share it with! hugs

sarah, hey again! nice you are here! special meetings indeed, just like the meeting i had with the woman on the train in germany. amazing feeling to connect with strangers. enjoy ourselves...

ariane, oh that is a fantastic interpretation! i like it! :) or perhaps it is my fantasy about my inner truth. who knows? we will see. love and hugs wonderful woman

eefje, hoop ik ook. het was een bijzondere, raare gesprek.

elle, oh it happens to me too, all the time! :) i do hope she is living a good life. feeling free and strong. but i do not know if that is the case.

Voor mijn werk sprak ik vroeger met dames als deze. Wat heb je haar prachtig vastgelegd met al haar tegenstrijdigheden!

these are powerful pictures sarita! so beautiful and full of character. it happened to me in madrid that, on my way to university every morning, i had to change train inside of the underground, and while walking inside, there was always a man playing really beautiful music with a violin. we were seeing every morning so one day he started smiling to me, and i smiled back. this continued for some time, till i decided i wanted to talk to him. where was he from? how had his life been till that moment? and when i decided to talk to him next day i saw him, he disappeared. he was not in the same spot as usual! i was so so sad. then i thought maybe it had to be that way. i still have the memory of his beautiful music early in the mornings.
