happy advent
i found some left over lussebullar deep, deep, inside the freezer. they might even be from two winters ago.... anyhow, that made my advent morning a little bit more special.
and except for lussebullar, these are my top favorite dishes with saffron:
1. tagliatelle with zucchini in creamy saffron sauce. this dish was a revolution for me, once i had it in a very cosy, italian restaurant in paris.
2. avocado saffron shake. intense, heavy, but oh so good!
3. risotto milanese
4. homemade saffron icecream. like clouds melting in your mouth.
mhm. im hungry now.
bye

it has been a long night
you have snow, i have 21 degrees and sun. you have glögg, i have jasmine thee. you have lussebullar, i have baklava (but soon enough the scheduled baking session will take place) you are decorating for advent, i am picking passionfruits around the corner.
you have holidays coming up, i have a marathon of performances.
the red pear is organic. pretty, huh?
now, i will have a shake for breakfast. then i will make some pickles.
it has been a long night.

friday morning
i woke up earlier than expected. turned on the computer, and then thought to myself 'sara, you are too addicted to the net, do something with your life'. so i went out for a walk. and then i cleaned our path from leaves. with my hands. couldn't find a rake.
baked some scones, with brown flax, ate them in bed.
now, i am back to my addiction. might just read some instead. have a great weekend.

silly
since my neck is still fucked, i am not performing all my parts, hence i have time to take pictures backstage.
putting socks on your ears is fun.
like in one of my favorite movies.

before/after sunset
not much to add. it was another day yesterday. around five we climbed the little hill behind work that overviews the bay of haifa, to see the sky turning from milky gray into darkness. and all the lights turning on (let's hope at least half of them are energy saving lamps...)
and autumn is lingering, a few people had a bbq and i went to the newly opened 'soup restaurant'-all of them outside.

morning with eliyah
this morning eliyah invited us to her performance. with the elephant, the giraffe, the rabbit and the butterfly. later, we also performed for her. and then, she kept going crazy with the ball, which is her favorite activity of them all.
this girl is amazing. she used to have long, blond curls, but she asked her mother to shave it all of. i am still waiting for the moment i will have the guts to do that!
anyhow, even though i love kids, i must admit i enjoyed this link SO much. i had tears from laughter... check it out, on your own risk!

yesterday we went to a listening circle. when a group of people sit down, with the intention to listen to eachother. everybody can say whatever he feels like saying, and sharing.(it doesn't turn into a discussion)
the 'rules' are to speak from your heart, to listen from your heart, and to always try to listen while you are speaking. that means, to be sensitive towards what the circle can actually recieve from you.
it was a beautiful, intimate experience. i can deeply recommend it to whoever wants to try it!
