the morbid collection. i already have a bunch of other dead animals; (1 2 3) I guess they serve as a reminder of how fragile life is. and how natural death is, after all.

‘sure and life is a lot o’ misery, all right, and death is more misery, yet. Dread, fear, anxiety, guilt, even a bit o’ neurosis , are perfectly natural responses to a life that promises such an unacceptable end. The trick is not to take such responses too seriously, not to trivialize your all too short stay in your carton o’ flesh by cooperatin’ with misery.’

the frame does not fit me, or I can not seem to fit inside the frame. trying very hard to feel what framework would do me good. perhaps the trying hard is already bringing me off track.

there was the bedouin woman drinking tea, the neatly dressed business man having a smoke, dozens of young boys riding donkeys or camels, offering you a ride to the top and spots of left over snow (!) on the way to petra, can you imagine?

I found this online somewhere, it has been circulating ‘out there’ and I took it straight to my heart. also, I love calvin and hobbes, are you guys familiar with them?

more than anything it seems like a great reminder at the right moment. having an ongoing struggle with myself these days. finding that I am unmotivated and tired, slightly on the edge and getting stuck in negative patterns. remembering that it is up to me to change it and to choose differently. phu.

those were the days

we had a short and passionate romance with winter. building igloos and throwing snowballs. dear winter, could you stay a wee bit longer?

one goat after the other is giving birth these days. my friends kept a newborn kid in their living room for 24hours due to the cold. it was quite cozy, sharing the space with a cuddly, furry creature named after joni mitchell.

after a couple of days of intense storms, heavy rains and flooding came the snow. it brings out so much playfulness and excitement. and I feel at home…
