friday

tired tigers, broken plates, please love, heat waves and mouthful of conversations.

walking on the boulevard, sweat drizzling from my knees, watching friday morning coffee drinkers and other urban pleasures, an old man sitting next to his caretaker on a wooden bench, reading the newspaper, shouts to me; ‘miss, miss, I love you, is that ok?’

of course it is!’ , I answered.

all into

_MG_8128_MG_7948_MG_8143

…green shakes (throw a banana or two, one green apple, fresh greens from the garden: like kale, silver beet, parsley and cilantro, a few spoons of yoghurt, a few of water, flaxseed, shea seed, nuts or what have you into a jug and mix mix mix until heavenly smooth and then drink it!), second hand, worn and torn cottons (project sewing:turning popsicle maternity dress into popsicle non maternity dress) and garden treasures.

and I just saw this movie, very touching about homosexuality and intimacy, made me want to cry.

what are you into these days?

little outdoor moments

_MG_7827_MG_7974_MG_7962_MG_7909

reminding myself to breathe. even on those days, when the sky is hanging just above your forehead and you can’t seem to collect enough energy to do the slightest little constructive thing, I try forcing myself to take a walk outside while paying extra attention to my breathing and usually it brings something different….

the lightning hit the telephone connection, and I was liberated(?) from the internet the past few days. rain is pouring down and I am suddenly sick. sleeping seems to be the best cure.

love to ya’all!

abandoned

_MG_8043_MG_8086_MG_8108_MG_7984_MG_8070_MG_8045_MG_8093_MG_8037_MG_8089_MG_8008_MG_8065_MG_8049_MG_8112

try to imagine this: sneaking into an old abandoned spa, today serving as a military base. the spa could have been built sometime in the 1940’s-50’s, but was probably abandoned straight after. there is a pool house where the roof has fallen in. the pool is filled with hot water from a natural sulfur spring, crystal clear, a strong smell of sulfur, amazingly soothing for the body. to your east you see the hills of jordan, and to the west an old abandoned mosque. peacocks are running wild between the bushes. palm trees and lush plants. broken windows and shutters made of wood. you walk around, discovering each little house, with it’s own piece of history. and then you sit in the warm water, watching the sun set, washing the sky with pink and then the stars rising above your head.

wow.

oh and this link fits.

if europe was 3km away…

_MG_7898_MG_7885_MG_7905_MG_7882_MG_7888

…I would jump on my bike and swing by.

I take ‘secret’ snapshots in the bus. I found this woman so beautiful, aging with grace and wisdom in her eyes.

april april

_MG_7816_MG_7781_MG_7821

the lilacs are blooming. always about two to three months earlier than in sweden, where it used to happen just around the last days of school, associating it with summer holidays, childhood, swedish folk music

a friend caught a mini lizard who got lost inside the living room, all turquoise and green, so pretty and ready to defend himself. luckily his tail did not fall off and he was returned back into the wild.

a bit more of desert

_MG_7245_MG_7263_MG_7299_MG_7303_MG_7252_MG_7304

I experienced my first sandstorm. it came so suddenly and changed the bright blue sky to yellow and you could not see a meter ahead of you. since we were also traveling with my friends son, (turning one today! still remembering his birth crystal clear) sleeping outside was not an option anymore so we went to a bedouin village and slept in the tent on the last picture. always amazed to be confronted with such different culture and mentality then what I am mostly surrounded by.
